MMA Fitness Level 1 - distance learning

  • Learn the fundamentals of MMA pad training
  • Learn how to execute punches, leg strikes and MMA moves like sprawl and breakfall
  • Pre-pare 'kick-arse' sessions for beginners through to elite athletes
  • Master the art of coaching and motivating to get the best out of your classes and clients
  • Receive 5 CEC points on successful completion from Fitness Australia, ensuring you are covered for insurance purposes

    DISTANCE LEARNING REQUIREMENTS:

  • In order to complete this course by distance learning you are required to;

    1. Download the associated video for study from one of the following 2 alternatives:
      • iTunes store for your iPhone or iPad - search the store for MMA Fitness Level 1 
      • The Windows Marketplace for your windows based phone - click HERE 
      • NOTE that we are unable to mail you the course video - if you are unable to access the associated video by the above 2 alternatives we recommend you booking onto a face-to-face course
    2. Receive the course workbook and exam by mail.  Read the workbook and watch the video to learn the correct techniques required to pass the assessment
    3. Submit by mail your assessment, consisting of 2 parts;
      • Written Exam - complete the written exam based on the workbook and video which will be included in the pack you receive
      • Practical Exam - submit a DVD showing you practically coaching a student through the techniques indicated in your exam pack
    4. On successful completion of your exam we will email your Certificate of Completion with your CEC's for accreditation

     

  • LEARNING OUTCOMES:On completion you will have learnt:

    • Pad holding techniques used by professionals to keep you and your clients safe throughout boxing, kickboxing and MMA techniques
    • Arm & Leg Strikes, modified Clinch Techniques (closing the distance), modified Grapple Techniques (transition to the ground)
    • 15 core combinations (3 class formats) to get you started
    • The framework to easily create your own combinations
    • How to effectively teach techniques to groups and one-on-one
    • How to make it AUTHENTIC and FUN

    Cost: $229 (incl. GST)  inclusive processing of your assessment exams.  Included in your course fee:

  • Comprehesive 40 page MMA Fitness Level 1 textbook 
  • Processing of your written and practical exam 
  • NOTE: the MMA Fitness Level 1 App is an additional cost of $0.99, which is not covered in the above
